HOW DOES IT WORK?
Donors in your community that are interested in supporting youth robotics in your community may send unrestricted donations to Yellowstone Robotics. Contributions to Yellowstone Robotics are made with the understanding that Yellowstone Robotics has complete control and administration over the use of any donated funds.
At the same time, your club documents via expense reports to us that you have supported youth robotics education in accordance with Yellowstone Robotics\’ mission. If Yellowstone Robotics has sufficient income to cover your expenses, and we have received your expense reports, Yellowstone Robotics will reimburse your club for documented expenses. Any income to Yellowstone Robotics from employer or community matching will also be made available to your club to support your youth robotics education expenses. Yellowstone Robotics strictly follows IRS rules and regulations.
Yellowstone Robotics handles only unrestricted, properly tax-deductible donations. Other income that your club collects that is not properly tax-deductible should not be directed to Yellowstone Robotics. That includes fees or dues that your club requires for participation, payments parents make to purchase robotics equipment or pay entry fees for their own kids, portions of donations for which the donor receives something from your club of equal value, or funds that are directed to the benefit of any specific individual. Those fees and payments are not properly tax-deductible by the donor and would not be handled by Yellowstone Robotics.
